If you like music - you’ll love MelodyTimes!

When you come along to a MelodyTimes concert, you’re guaranteed a warm welcome from our team and the regular attendees, people who enjoy hearing great music played live by top players from around the country, and many who enjoy being able to chat to other like-minded people in such a friendly atmosphere, often making lasting friendships. We have two locations where you can enjoy our musical gatherings, in Horsham and Bognor Regis. Our concerts are in the afternoons, so you can travel in daylight, and they last for a little over two hours including a short interval half way through.

What music will you hear?

The selection of music played at each concert changes with each of our different visiting entertainers but a typical afternoon will include lots of popular Music from the Musicals (My Fair Lady, Phantom of the Opera, The Sound of Music), hits from the Swing Era (Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington), favourite Light Classics (The Blue Danube, Land of Hope and Glory, Brahm’s Hungarian Dance), Hits from the 50s to the 70s (The Beatles, Abba, Elton John, Buddy Holly) and much more - the sort of music that used to be played on Radio 2 until quite recently! Our entertainers bring with them some of the very latest digital keyboards and organs, producing realistic sounds of orchestras, big bands, Hammond and Wurlitzer organs, brass bands and more, and remember, they play live. Any sound you can imagine, they can create! They use both hands over different keyboards to create the main sounds, and then you will be amazed as you watch their feet providing the bass sounds on the pedals; one player creating all the different parts of the band.

Listen to radio interviews about MelodyTimes Concerts

Enjoy a half an hour interview on Hailsham FM by selecting this link (new window) …and as the winner of the ‘Wheel of What’s On’ on BBC Radio Sussex… Sadly, since these radio interviews were recorded, we have had to finish our concert series in Hailsham but the interviews still explain a lot about what our concerts are like in Horsham and Bognor Regis.
